 Are your children permanently bored during weekends or holidays? Well, help is at hand with our handy guide to keeping your family entertained through sunny summer holidays to wet winter weekends. 

Take to the swings and soar to the sky in Harrow's wide range of parks and recreation grounds. Head to Pinner Memorial park or Harrow Recreation Ground, which both offer safe play facilities for both able and disabled children. For older children and teenagers, Harrow recreation ground offers a basketball court, four tennis courts and three football pitches, perfect for letting off steam.

Calling all skateboard fanatics!
Harrow has its very own skatepark, which attracts board fanatics from miles around. Test your skills on a variety of runs, including the half pipe, the snakerun, 4 moguls and the peanut bowl.

 If rain stops play
...get active indoors in a wide range of leisure facilities which offer everything from aqua aerobics to wall climbing. If you want to teach your child to swim, you'll find a wide range of classes on offer at the Hatch End swimming pool .  The ASPIRE National Training Centre also provides first-class facilities for both able and disabled adults and children.

 From circus skills to D-Jing
...you will find a jam-packed selection of workshops and courses for children and teenagers at the summer school at Harrow Museum and at the Harrow Arts Centre. Art, music and dance classes for children and teenagers also take place throughout the year at the Harrow Arts Centre, and after-school children's classes are available at the Museum.

 Learn to dance
From ballet to bhangra, Harrow offers one of the widest ranges of dance classes in London. Many of Harrow's dance classes already take part in national level competitions.

 All the fun of the fair
...comes to Pinner on the Wednesday after the Spring bank holiday. Enjoy thrills galore on a host of dare-devil rides which line the high street and Bridge Street.

Enjoy a round of golf
take your child for a round of golf in the special nine hole facility available at Harrow Golf course.  Alternatively give them the chance to let off some steam in the baseball batting cages located at Playgolf Northwick Park, situated across the border in Brent.

 Experience Carnival Fever
...as you take part in Harrow Council's very own Under One Sky multi-cultural festival in July. Listen to live music, taste exotic foods, fly a kite and try out lots more new activities. 

Tour Wembley Stadium
Harrow is only two tube stops away from the world-famous Wembley Stadium.  Why not inspire your child with a tour of this famous ground.

Discover the outdoors
Follow the Harrow Heritage Trails, which take in Pinner, Hatch End, Harrow-on-the-Hill and Grim's Dyke. The easy to follow educational guides feature wildlife and places of architectural interest to look out for along the way. Why not pack a frisbee and some food and enjoy a picnic along the way.-
